Just like another day, my husband went to his work and I was cooking breakfast for my baby. He loves “sooji ka halwa”. Normally being alone with my baby I put him in Walker while cooking except that day. He came out of nowhere and pulled the gas pipe in such a way that gas stove shook, burner got flipped and cauldron full of “sooji” with water at boiling temperature spilled on me and him.
After that everything was so sudden and painful that cannot be described in words.
Got hospitalised. Seeing my baby in pain was heart wrenching for me. I blamed myself for everything.
Many friends & relatives visited us.
Most of them were very supportive and I’m very thankful to them.
But some of them didn’t came to support but to make me feel guilty of this situation. which was slowly taking me to depression.
I was not only in physical but in mental pain as well.
My family and my close friends supported me in every possible way and because of them we are recovering rapidly. Wounds got healed but scars will take months or may be few years to recover.
Why am I sharing this?
Is because now-a-days when I step out of my house, many are there who advise me to wait until my scars get fully recovered. Basically they a want house arrest for me until I look normal as earlier to fit in their norms.
But dear hypocrite Society! I want to tell you that me and my baby are totally normal with or without these scars.
